How do I fill up my cup and even let it overflow?
A different point of view on the "empty cup" dilemma.

This is a question that often comes up when we’re talking about conscious productivity. A lot of people struggle with finding the energy to do what truly matters to them. Most people who come to me are deeply spiritual and have a desire to serve others as well. And since we hear in so many places that you need to fill up your cup until it overflows, so you can give abundantly, that’s the place everyone searches for to be able to serve fully.
But let’s look at this belief a little closer. When you talk about how to fill up your cup, you assume that your cup is naturally empty, so it needs your effort to be filled up. Is that really true?
Life flows abundantly everywhere without effort, without judgement and without discern. It is the true nature of Life energy to be abundant everywhere. There’s no place on Earth or in the Universe that is void of this energy. Not even your cup.
So how could your cup be empty as a default? In reality, your cup’s true nature is to be full and overflowing at all times. It’s the habits of constricting, closing, striving and getting lost in thought or emotions that make it feel like a struggle to keep your cup full.
By letting go and opening up completely, you return to your own True Nature. Practicing this effortless way of being and acting, will help you to allow the natural flow of Life energy in you. You realize that it’s been your habits of closing up that blurred your vision of what’s really going on. At the end, you take your hand off of the top of your cup and see that it has always been full to the brim. That’s when you, just like Life itself, can let it all flow freely.
